Joseph Mattera may not have his facts totally accurate, but he 100% accurate as to Nazism/Fascism is closer to socialism than to the Conservative principles of the Christian Right which is far closer to Capitalism. Capitalism in the Christian sense is a good work ethic not for personal gain (secular view) but rather to prosper in order to further the Kingdom of God on Earth and humanity.

Nazism, Fascism, Communism and Socialism are all ideologies in which the State controls and manipulates the standards of individual lives as the State perceives it.

Why Hitler's Beliefs Resonate Today

One of the things that agitates me most when I read the newspaper is when someone equates Nazism with Conservatism and so-called right-wing Christianity.

The liberal media elites have successfully brainwashed the American public in such a way that they have constructed a view of Hitler that is quite the opposite of reality!

First of all, we need to understand that the term Nazism means National Socialism. (For example, the USSR stood for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).

If anything, Hitler, Nazism, and Fascism more closely resemble present day left-wing liberals than those who espouse a conservative political view.

Furthermore, when you read the writings of Karl Marx and his book The Communist Manifesto, you find that the modern day liberal intellects in universities and our liberal elected officials are more dedicated to the ideals of Communism and Karl Marx than to the ideals that made our nation great!

First of all, let's paint a true picture of Fascism.

The socialistic ideals of Fascism are harder to detect, because within its system the state allows private ownership, but with many burdensome rules, regulations and laws that essentially control every aspect of the decision making process of the alleged private owners.

I tell folks all the time that the United States is more closely related to both Socialism and Fascism than to Capitalism because the immense size of our state, city and federal governments interferes, intervenes and regulates every aspect of life. This contradicts the vision the Founding Fathers had of a small government that was by the people and for the people, whose main objective was to ensure every citizen the unalienable rights given to us by our Creator (note the Declaration of Independence).

If you don't believe what I am saying, just refuse to pay your property taxes. Then you will find out who really owns your house. (Property taxes are so high in some regions, it is akin to paying another mortgage-only this time we are paying rent to the state!)

Involved with Hitler's Fascism were:

-Strict gun control laws. German citizens, especially every politically incorrect German citizen, had their guns confiscated.

-Legalized euthanasia and abortion.

-State controlled education and indoctrination of children, including the rewriting of German history.

-Acceptance of homosexuality as part of their manhood. Some believe this was one reason why they killed Bible-believing Christians and Jews; their tenets contradicted the homosexual lifestyle, though effeminate homosexuals were also executed because it belittled their Arian manhood.

-Rules, regulations and high taxes interwoven with private property and business.
-A progressive income tax.

Does this all sound familiar?

Are these ideals more closely related to Communism and its kissing cousin Socialism or to moral and political conservatives?

One of the biggest tragedies in the past 150 years has been the "dumbing down" of Christianity and of our young.

Marx, Lenin, Hitler and others had to rewrite history and deemphasize the Christian influence as part of their plan to control the masses.

Our nation has been in moral decline primarily because we as Christians have been taught to throw our brains out the window and only think about the next life!

Instead of starting schools like Harvard, Yale, Columbia and Princeton (which all originally existed for the express purpose of training Christians to lead in every realm of society with a biblical world and life view), we tend to isolate and separate our spiritual meeting place from the marketplace, and speak of doctrine, theology and anything intellectual as if it were unspiritual and anti-Christian. This is the very opposite of what is necessary to disciple the nations and be salt and light to the world!

I believe churches need to start having altar calls in our services for young people to become educators, economists, lawyers, doctors, judges, community and civic leaders, not just missionaries and preachers!

We need to teach the truth about America's Christian history, and Christianity's influence on our nation's founding documents, such as the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, and even the U.S. Constitution.

If all we are concerned about as Christian leaders is having an anointed Sunday service, and do nothing to raise up the next generation to engage the culture in the battle of ideas, then one day we won't even have the right to have our anointed services!

As Hitler continued to increase in power until he controlled every aspect of life for every citizen, we are presently witnessing the liberal elite change the history books, do away with biblical law, attempt to remove every vestige of Christianity from public view, and transition our nation from a republic (the people electing representatives to rule for them) to an oligarchy (the government is made up of a handful of ruling elite; e.g. how the Supreme Court and the judiciary presently function in this country).

Ignorance is not a blessing; it is not bliss, nor benign. It is a curse and its passivity has been responsible for the shed blood of millions, born and unborn!

A few years ago the Lord showed me that it is time for me to come out of hiding and to impact both the church and society with the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Thousands of other saints are hearing the same call!

When I was a boy growing up in the church, I would frequently hear preachers use the phrase "weeping and gnashing of teeth" as a part of their sermons, especially if they were preaching on the subject of eternal damnation. Every time I heard the phrase "weeping and gnashing of teeth," I wondered, What does that phrase mean? What is weeping and gnashing of teeth?

The answer to this question is found in the story of the master who gave talents to three of his servants. As we already saw in yesterday's Sparkling Gem, Jesus called the lazy servant in that parable a "wicked and slothful servant." The words "wicked and slothful" both come from the single Greek word okneros. This word means lazy or idle. It carries the idea of a person who has a do-nothing, lethargic, lackadaisical, apathetic, indifferent, lukewarm attitude toward life.

Jesus used this parable to teach those of us who are His followers what He expects of us. The master in the parable vividly illustrates Jesus' sentiments toward people who have great potential but who are too lazy to get up, get out of the house, and do something to develop the potential that has been entrusted to them. Friend, we need to pay careful attention to the message in this parable, because how Jesus sees things is how we must see things!

Notice that the master in this parable said, "Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents" (v. 28). This would be the response of any employer who discovered a time-waster on his staff. Rather than throw away more time waiting for an unprofitable, nonproductive person to get with the program, a smart employer will take his responsibility from him and give it to someone he knows can get the job done right!

Jesus continued, "For unto everyone that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath" (v. 29). Here again we find a powerful truth: Those who are good performers and whom the boss can trust to get things done will always have a very full plate of responsibility. The employer trusts this employee's ability and appreciates his willingness to do whatever necessary to complete the assigned task with excellence. Therefore, he keeps piling more and more on this person whom he knows he can trust! This is precisely what Jesus meant when he said, "For unto everyone that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance."

But Jesus also said, "But from him that hath not shall be taken even that which he hath." A good way to make sure that you get no pay increase or promotion and possibly even get fired is to do a poor job. Poor jobs should not be rewarded.

Rewards are given to those who deserve them. If a person consistently fails to do his job correctly or on time, or if he consistently does his assigned task with a grumpy, complaining attitude, he shouldn't be surprised when the new and bigger assignments are delegated to someone else besides him!

This leads us to Jesus' statement about "weeping and gnashing of teeth" in Matthew 25:30. It says, "And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." The word "unprofitable" is the Greek word achreios, which literally means useless. A literal translation in today's vernacular would be the good- for-nothing servant.

But notice that the master in this parable said to "cast" this servant "into outer darkness." The word "cast" is the word ekballo, from the words ek and ballo. The word ek means out, and the word ballo means to throw. Together these words mean to expel, to throw out, to drive out, or to kick out. This word pictures the master saying, "Throw him out"; "Kick the guy out of the organization"; "Expel him as quickly as you can"; "Toss him out of here." The Greek expresses such total intolerance for laziness and non-productivity that the master wants the unprofitable servant gone as quickly as possible!

The master said to cast the unprofitable servant into "outer darkness." Let me explain this to you, because it is very important to the truth in this parable.

It is a fact that in New Testament times, almost every large city had huge stone city walls that protected the city from intruders and from lions who roamed the countryside. The residents of the city often dumped their garbage over the top of the walls in certain parts of the city, allowing the trash to fall and build up around the base of the huge stone walls. Because this garbage included unused food, lions from the countryside would come to the base of the city walls late at night - when it was very dark - to pillage the trash and look for food.

These huge piles of trash became sites where authorities tried to determine the guilt or innocence of individuals suspected of crimes but not concretely proven to be guilty. The authorities would tie the suspected criminal with rope and lower him to the base of the city walls during the darkest hours of the night - right into the midst of the garbage where the lions roamed every night. If they found the suspect alive the next morning, he was judged to be innocent of his crime. If he had been devoured, it was assumed that he had been guilty of the crime of which he had been accused.

Even if the victim was found alive the next morning, he was usually insane or on the verge of total insanity. In fact, his teeth were usually ground down by his own nervous gnashing and grinding of his teeth as the lions prowled and roared all around him all night long. This is where we get the phrase "weeping and gnashing of teeth." It was derived from this experience of suffering agony and even insanity as a result of being cast into outer darkness.

Why would Jesus use this example to depict the unprofitable servant who was kicked out of the business or organization? Well, just imagine what this person would feel like after being kicked out for doing a poor job. Later he would see others doing exactly what he had once been asked to do but what he had refused or failed to do because he was too lazy. That experience would be pure agony for him! It would be so difficult to watch someone else in his position - doing what he used to do, getting the promotion he could have gotten, achieving the greatness he should have achieved. To know that all of this could have been his if he hadn't forfeited it through his own wrong attitude and laziness - that would be agony for anyone!

So many people have had great ideas, but because they pondered the idea for too long without acting on it, someone else finally came up with the same idea - and then went out and did something about it! The person who originally came up with the idea sees someone else prospering with the idea he had first. How do you think that makes him feel? He knows it could have been him experiencing that prosperity and success, but now it's too late. His hesitation to act or his laziness prevented him from getting up and putting that idea into action; as a result, the opportunity passed on to someone who was willing to do something with the idea.

Do you know anyone who has experienced such agony due to his own lack of faith to step out and act on his dream? Do you fit this description yourself?

I pray that I haven't just described you! The last thing Jesus wants is for you to experience "weeping and gnashing of teeth." But honestly, friend, it's up to you. If you do nothing with the abilities and opportunities God gives you, you can be certain that those privileged opportunities for success will pass to someone who is willing to do something with them. The opportunity can be yours, or it can be taken from you. But if it is taken from you, it will be agony to your soul when you see someone else standing in your dream.

That's why I am begging you - please don't make this mistake! God has given you gifts, callings, and dreams to fulfill. Now it's up to you to step out in faith and DO something with what He has given you!

There is a seen realm that we may call the physical or material world that operates under the physical laws of nature (some of which are always being discovered for the physical realm is an existence dominated by sense observation).

There is an unseen realm that also operates under existential laws. These laws of the unseen realm are the spiritual plain in which God and his goodness exist and Satan and his evilness exist. These laws are established by the Creator and even Satan cannot function outside the laws in the unseen spiritual realm.

In the physical realm certain laws supersede other laws: e.g. the law of gravity is superseded by the law of lift (that how planes fly). All spiritual laws established by the Creator supersede the laws of the physical realm (probably the reason a miracle or event occurs that cannot be explained by logic or science). There are probably spiritual laws that supersede other spiritual laws which explain how Satan is able to operate and is not immediately spanked by the Creator. The Creator is all powerful however His goodness maintains He will not break His own laws.

Thus we see Adam signing over God's creation to Satan for Satan leased the Earth portion to Adam to steward and control. If God's Justice was to function, Adam would have to be destroyed for breaking the Creator's Law. Fortunately for humanity God is a god of LOVE and He had plans for His Creation. Satan wanted to disrupt the plans for he once had the stewardship of Earth as the arch angel Lucifer. Lucifer's rebellion against God resulted in Lucifer's name change and loss of residence in God's Heavenly dimension in the spiritual plain.

The Plan enacted by God for the benefit of Human creation and the human stewardship of the Earth all transferred by Adam's obeisance by participating in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil - Satan promised godhood with himself as leader.

Since the "unseen" laws are primary and the "seen" laws of nature are secondary, humanity (particularly Christians) does not wrestle with flesh and blood "but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

I realize that many people tend to think that screaming, yelling, screeching, stomping, and shouting are required to defeat the devil. However, these actions will accomplish nothing if those same people are not living a consecrated and holy life.

It is simply a fact that if we have deliberately or by negligence allowed sinful strongholds to secretly remain in our lives, then we have left gaping holes through which Satan may continue to insert his schemes into our lives. Negligence in dealing with these secret places may give Satan the very loopholes he needs to orchestrate our defeat!

This business of spiritual warfare is serious! We must do all we can to shut every door to our souls through which the devil might attempt to access our lives. Because this issue is so serious, we would do well to pay attention when the Bible offers us information about the enemy of our souls. The devil has destroyed too many Christians who were ignorant of his devices! In Ephesians 6:12, the apostle Paul presents a divine revelation he received that describes how Satan's kingdom has been militarily aligned. He writes, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Notice that at the top of this list, Paul mentions a group of evil spirits he calls "principalities." This word is taken from the Greek word archai, an old word that is used symbolically to denote ancient times. It is also used to depict individuals who hold the highest and loftiest position of rank and authority. By using the word archai, Paul emphatically tells us that at the very top of Satan's kingdom are powerful evil beings that have held their lofty positions of power and authority since ancient times - probably ever since the fall of Lucifer.

Paul goes on to tell us that below principalities is a second group of evil beings he refers to as "powers." This word "powers" is taken from the Greek word exousia, and it denotes delegated authority. This describes a lower, second-level group of evil beings - demon spirits - who have received delegated authority from Satan to carry out all manner of evil in whatever way they desire to do it. These evil forces are second in command in Satan's dark kingdom.

Continuing in his description of Satan's rank and file in descending order, Paul mentions "the rulers of the darkness of this world." This amazing phrase is taken from the word kosmokrateros and is a compound of the words kosmos and kratos. The word kosmos denotes order or arrangement, whereas the word kratos has to do with raw power. Thus, the compounded word kosmokrateros depicts raw power that has been harnessed and put into some kind of order. 

This word kosmokrateros was at times used to picture military training camps where young men were assembled, trained, and turned into a mighty army. These young men were like raw power when they first arrived in the training camp. However, as the military training progressed and the new recruits were taught discipline and order, all that raw manpower was converted into an organized, disciplined army. This is the word Paul now uses in his description of Satan's kingdom. What does it mean? It tells you and me that Satan is so serious about doing damage to the human race that he deals with demon spirits as though they are troops! He puts them in rank and file, gives them orders and assignments, and then sends them out like military soldiers who are committed to kill. Just as men in a human army are equipped and trained in their methods of destruction, so, too, are these demon spirits. And once these demons are trained and ready to start their assault, Satan sends them forth to do their devious work against human beings.

Paul makes reference to this dispatch of evil spirits when he writes next about "spiritual wickedness in high places." The word "wickedness" is taken from the word poneros, and it is used to depict something that is bad, vile, malevolent, vicious, impious, and malignant. This tells us the ultimate aim of Satan's dark domain: These evil spirits are sent forth to afflict humanity in bad, vile, malevolent, and vicious ways! Satan uses all these evil forces in his attacks against mankind. Nevertheless, we believers have far more authority and power than the devil and his forces. You and I have the Greater One living within us! As members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we are loaded with heaps and heaps of raw power, for the Church has no shortage of power, nor is it deficient in God-given authority. We have more power and more authority than all these evil forces combined!

What we lack is order and discipline. We must learn to see ourselves as the army of God and to view the local church as the training center where we are taught to do God's business. Then we must heed the call of Jesus and be dispatched into the dark world to preach the Gospel and to drive these evil forces from people's lives. We must buckle down and begin to view ourselves as the troops of Jesus Christ!

Being organized and disciplined includes living a holy and consecrated life. There is no room for slackness in the life of a real Christian soldier. To deal with these forces that are being dispatched to destroy us and the world around us, it is required that we walk with God and listen to the voice of His Spirit. We must gird up the loins of our minds and fill our thoughts with the Word of God. Satan's troops are serious -and if we're not serious about our contest with them, it will only be a matter of time until they discover our weakness and strike with all their force to bring us down. Determine to see yourself as a soldier in the army of God. Don't allow anything to remain in your life that would hinder your fight of faith. Be disciplined, committed, and organized. Take advantage of all the weapons described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Then get ready to witness the awesome demonstration of God's power in your life as you prevail against Satan's rank and file!

My Prayer for Today

Lord, help me start seeing myself as a mighty soldier in the army of God. You have provided every weapon I need to prevail against the enemies that come against my life, my family, my business, my friends, and my church. I want to stand tall and firm against the wicked plots the devil tries to exert against people's lives whom I love and need. Holy Spirit, give me the power and strength I need to successfully resist every attack and to drive all dark forces from my life and from the lives of those close to me!

I pray this in Jesus' name!

My Confession for Today

I confess that I live a holy and consecrated life! There is no room for slackness in my life. I am serious about serving God as a real Christian soldier. I do everything that is required for me to walk with God and to hear the voice of His Spirit when He speaks to me. I am very serious about winning every conflict with evil forces. Because of my strong commitment to this fight of faith, I am more than a match for anything the devil tries to throw at me!

I declare this by faith in Jesus' name!

A Josiah generation: this essay is an awesome prophetic description of Old Testament symbolism applied to New Testament life. After all the Old Testament was the essence of Scripture to the Early Church. All Old Testament Scripture was (and should be) viewed as an indicator of the coming of Jesus Christ (First and Last) and of the Lord Jesus Christ's Ministry (from past Incarnation to the present Resurrection and the Second Coming - Parousia). The Old Testament is the foundation of the New Testament.

THE JOSIAH GENERATION--FREEDOM FIGHTERS FOR HOLINESS!

"Josiah was eight years old when he became king and he reigned in Jerusalem for thirty-one years. His mother's name was Jedidah, daughter of Adaiah; she was from Bozkath. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and walked in all the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left." 2 Kings 22:1-2

From being a young child of eight until the end of his reign at thirty-nine years of age, God used Josiah throughout his life to pursue and promote purity. Josiah was a type of child prodigy--called from an early age to reign and rule as a Kingdom ambassador for God on the earth. Josiah ushered in a rebirth of holiness in God's people. He was a king (literally reigning on the throne as king of Judah), a priest (in his desire to minister to the Lord), and a prophetic "sign of the times" in the way God used him to speak to and affect change in the nation and the Church. King Josiah was eventually killed at Megiddo by Pharaoh Neco, king of Egypt, as he marched out to meet him in battle.

Today, Josiah represents those who will be used by God to usher in purity, holiness, and the fear of the Lord. This Josiah generation WILL include children and young people, but will not be limited to just the younger generations. The end-time revival will be a holiness revival, and the Lord will vindicate His Holy name and reputation by raising up a "Josiah-type generation" who will be freedom fighters for holiness.

LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, YOUR STRENGTH, AND ALL YOUR MIND

Josiah loved the Lord with his whole being. "Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did--with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses" (2 Kings 23:25; see also Matthew 22:34-40).

"Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem. He went up to the temple of the Lord with the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, the priests and the prophets - all the people from the least to the greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the Lord. The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord to follow the Lord and keep His commands, regulations and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant" (2 Kings 23:1-4).

God says, "I am raising up a 'promise keeper' generation that will joyfully obey My commands and decrees entering into covenant relationship with the Lord their God in a profound way. As My children spend time in My presence I will reveal the power of My covenant-keeping promises. I am birthing a fresh wave of love for right living by My commandments. All those who love Me and love My Son, will desire to live by My standard of righteousness. This will not be done legalistically, rather it will fulfilled through the Spirit of Grace outworking My Kingdom standards in My Body. I am raising leaders who will champion holiness."

Josiah was required to approach the Lord's temple; furthermore, Josiah went with all the people, the priest and the prophets. In other words, Josiah was part of a remnant called out to live by grace. Josiah chose to draw near to God. James teaches us that if we draw near to God, He draws near to us (James 4:8).

THE READING AND THE RENEWAL OF COVENANT

Josiah rediscovered the book of the covenant and read it in the presence of the people. Reading the word of God had a profound effect on the gathering--it led them to a place of renewed dependency on God. They were convinced it was necessary to re-pledge their affections to God by renewing the covenant in His holy presence (2 Kings 23:2-3).

THE PLEDGE--REPENTANCE AND CONFESSION

All the people pledged themselves to the Lord (2 Kings 23). To pledge means to solemnly undertake, to do, or to give something. A pledge is something given as a token of love, favor, or loyalty. God's people were reaffirming their hearts' affections to Him. They turned in a spirit of repentance from the world to God.

The Lord says, "I am calling forth an emerging holy generation that will seek My face with undivided hearts. Pledge yourself and your affections to Me, for I have etched your names on the palms of My hands, and I love you with an everlasting love."

THE BURNING

It was necessary that the temple be cleansed. All the cultic articles for Baal, Asherah, and the starry host were removed from the Lord's temple. Josiah did away with pagan priests and ground the Asherah poles to dust. He tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes, which were in the Lord's temple, and also where the women wove for Asherah (2 Kings 23:5-7).

The works of the people's hands and the affections of their hearts had been defiled. Because of Josiah's radical commitment to the Lord, his heart burned for purity in his own life and the lives of his people, so he took bold action to remove from the Lord's temple the things that were idolatrous and impure.

The Lord says, "I am seeking a Josiah mentality in My bride, desirous that she will turn from all that would defile her in the spirit of the world and be cleansed by My Blood. I am purging My Church of spiritual prostitution. Throw away that which would cause you to stumble and fall into sin. Discard all detestable practices and pagan influences from your life. Devote yourself to spending time in My presence, to prayer, to fasting, to praise, and to my Word. Dedicate yourself to Me with fresh zeal. Pour your lives out as a love offering for the orphans and widows and keep yourself from being corrupted by the world."

SPIRITUAL PROSTITUTION

Jesus once ate at a Pharisee's home where a sinful woman (a prostitute) washed His feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, anointed Him with oil, and kissed the Lord profusely as a sign of her desperate longing and love for Him. Her heart's motivation was pure, and in that moment, all she wanted to do was to minister to Christ. Because of this, her sins were forgiven, and she received new life in Christ (Luke 7:36-50).

To prostitute means "to put to an unworthy or corrupt use for the sake of gain." Simon the Pharisee had abused the presence of Jesus. He did not treat the Lord with decency or respect. He did not revere the presence of Christ in his home. Is the Church today abusing Jesus' presence? Are we, as believers, guilty of spiritual prostitution? Do we, like Simon, misuse and insult the Lord in our midst by ignoring or neglecting Him, not treating the Lord with proper respect and reverence? Do we put other things before Christ rather than making the Lord our priority? Do we seek to impress man more than we seek to serve and bless the Lord?

May we attain the humility of the spiritually destitute woman and access the atmosphere of glory as we draw near to Christ, seeking Him with an honest heart. Despite (or perhaps because of) her lifestyle, the sinful woman sought Jesus with tears in her eyes and was found by Him. In such a place of brokenness, she received personal salvation.

If we desire to see many souls won for Christ, we must realize afresh our need of cleansing and humility. Confessing sinners and Jesus are always found near to one another. We are united in our humanity, and as we honestly face our frailty and failings, we are able to receive the Divine grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the pathway of purity that leads to both personal and corporate revival.

DESECRATION OF IDOLATROUS SHRINES AT THE CITY GATES

Josiah was responsible in his generation for desecrating the high places and breaking down the idolatrous shrines set up at the city gates (2 Kings 23:8). To desecrate means "to treat a sacred thing or place with violent disrespect." Josiah violently disrespected the idolatry of Israel and the false idols and altars that stood as an affront to the Lord God.

I hear the Spirit of the Lord say, "The Josiah generation of today will confront ungodliness in spiritual seats of power (city gates) and pull them down through anointed prayer and praise. This is the time for a resurgence of those who have and will yet embrace the heartbeat of 2 Chronicles 7:14. IF is not a lost word to My children. IF you will embrace humility and holiness, I will release anointed prophetic utterance, decrees of Kingdom authority, acts of love and humility, and unity in My Body. By My Spirit, I will dismantle the kingdom of darkness and the enemy's web over entire cities and nations. I will hear from Heaven and heal your land. But beloved children, you can only impart that which you have received by revelation and application of My cleansing word to your hearts. The warfare for purity must begin first in your heart. From this place of renewed holiness, you will walk in My authority and affect the destiny of nations through your testimony, prayer, and acts of servanthood."

NO MORE CHILD SACRIFICE

Through Josiah, God drew a line in the sand and said an unequivocal "NO!" to the needless death of children, particularly in relation to child sacrifice to other gods. God cares deeply and profoundly for the welfare of children. He calls the Church to share His heart for children, especially for orphans. We must pray protection on this end time generation of valiant warriors for Christ, some of whom are as yet unborn.

"I am raising up a Josiah generation to stand in this hour against the enemy's plans to destroy the end time army of children," says the Lord. "Through murder, rape, abortion, war, famine, and every kind of abuse, the enemy has sought to destroy this end time generation of children and Josiahs. But I have raised a mighty shout in the Heavens, and his plans will not prevail, for I am a God of justice, and My righteousness shines forth like the dawn. I am causing My sleeping bride to awaken and to stand to her feet and fight valiantly for those who have no voice for the Voice of the Lord is powerful."

The Josiah generation represents an army of God's holy people who are willing to serve sacrificially with their lives. Ones who are willing to campaign and fight for social action and change, and to pray for justice from Heaven's courts to prevail on the earth.

The Lord says, "Many despots and dictatorships will be deposed through the prayers and the righteous actions of the modern day Josiah generation. This holiness move is birthed in the throne room of Heaven and has been prepared for such a time as this, as an extravagant gift in the Blood of Christ. Now is the hour for My people to embrace holy living. Now is the time for the total abolishment of slavery. Now is the time to declare freedom in Christ to the multitudes. The time is short."

REMOVAL OF IDOLS

"And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars - all the heavenly array - do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshipping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under Heaven" (Deuteronomy 4:19-20).

Josiah pulled down, smashed to pieces and threw away the rubble of the torn down altars from the roof to the temple courts (2 Kings 23:11-12). He desecrated the high places Solomon had built, smashed sacred stones, and cut down Asherah poles, covering the sites with human bones (verse 14). He demolished the altars and high places at Bethel, removing and defiling all the shrines and high places in Samaria (verse 19). Josiah slaughtered all the priests of these high places on the altars and burned their human bones on them (verse 20). He had the people observe Passover, a lasting reminder of the escape from Egypt and God's mighty deliverance (verses 21-23).

It was love for God that compelled Josiah and enabled him to be used to bring about a mighty purging and cleansing to the people and the land. Josiah confronted counterfeit spirituality and the spirit of compromise. There was no room for divination and false prophetic anointing in Josiah's kingdom!

"My people will rise up as a Josiah generation under a prophetic mantle, and in purity they will confront and cast out all that has come into the Church as the spirit of compromise, of deceit, of rebellion and of witchcraft. I am tired of My children living corrupted lifestyles. I call My bride to the altar of faith, whereby there is forgiveness of sins and cleansing by My Blood. I will not tolerate idolatry in My bride. By the Spirit of truth I am pulling down the strongholds of the enemy and in this move of My Spirit, every deceitful heart will be exposed, and every thought that raises itself against My sovereignty will be confronted, and every contrite heart will be received in grace and mercy.

Children will speak with accuracy and authority in the word of knowledge, in some instances exposing decades of wrong living in individuals. In these cases, I will pour out My healing through the children to those who are willing to repent. Furthermore, I am birthing a fresh wave of discernment in My Church to enable My believers to distinguish between that which is holy from that which is unholy."

JOSIAH GOT RID OF MEDIUMS, SPIRITISTS, HOUSEHOLD GODS, IDOLS, ALL OTHER DETESTABLE THINGS IN JUDAH (2 Kings 23:24)

The Lord is exposing sinful fascination with corrupt spiritual practices and is rooting out the spirit of the new age movement that has subtly entered the church and now masquerades as pseudo-spirituality amongst many believers. The Lord God of Hosts will not tolerate tarot cards, horoscopes, divination, and witchcraft in the Church. It is time for these things to be purged from the Bride of Christ. No more!

We are to worship and serve Jesus only. Righteousness is characteristic of faith, whereas lawlessness is characteristic of unbelief. To be "full of lawlessness" is to lead a life characterized by sin and wrongdoing. Lawlessness and sin are acts of rebellion against God and, this is idolatry. Idolatry is lawlessness and violates holiness. Sin cannot, and must not, be disregarded or trivialized. In His great kindness, God calls us to repentance that we might have no regrets but only Life in Him (2 Corinthians 7:8-13).

ONLY ONE WAY IS PERFECT--GOD'S WAY

"As for God His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless" (Psalm 18:30).

It is love that compels a parent to direct their children on the straight and narrow path. There is no greater love than that of our Abba Father for His sons and daughters. The path of Life is narrow but is illuminated by the beauty and majesty of Jesus' holy Presence (Matthew 7:13-14).

Let all who have an ear to hear, listen to the Spirit's call to the Bride to purity and holiness. May we bow the knee today with contrite hearts and embrace the Spirit of Grace that cleanses us from our sins and unrighteous acts as we confess them to Christ. May each man, woman, and child be like modern day Josiahs and faithfully pursue holy lifestyles in and for Christ.

Bob Jones is an elderly fellow that seems well connected to God Almighty. Bob Jones is a prophet in a category (if such exists) that I would call super-prophet. Incidentally I would place Kim Clement in that same category. The difference between Jones and Clement seems to be in the spiritual reception and in the spiritual delivery to those who have an ear to hear and an eye to see.

Clement (from what I have witnessed) speaks forth prophecy almost as it is dictated to his inner spirit.

Jones shares prophecy that he has experienced in explicit visionary and dream states received from the Holy Spirit. Jones' Visions are starkly vivid when described.

Paul Keith Davis also has a prophetic mantle; however his prophetic role is to get the information from Bob Jones and in a kind of interpretation render it understandable to the listener. Jones and Davis they are a prophetic tandem (however they do not appear to be an exclusive team for Davis has his ministerial itinerary).

I have embarked on this entire introduction to get here.

Jones and Davis write that a time of intense intercession should be planned for the period between July 3 and July 24. They call this a "Basilisk" period that serpentine evil operates in global death and destruction. As Jones relates this "Basilisk" period can be defeated by the power of prayer (by what I believe to be the name of Jesus and the Blood Jesus).

THE SEASON OF THE BASILISK: July 3 thru July 24, 2007

The period identified as the "Basilisk" season is approaching, and we once again want to reiterate the importance of this timeframe and the great need for consecration, repentance and prayer. In times past, we greatly emphasized Israel and her need for prayer covering and spiritual intervention. That emphasis continues. However, we perceive an equal prominence for our nation and the American Church and its need for extraordinary covering during this notable time.

In 1999 we wrote in the "Basilisk" article that terrorism was not coming...it is already here. That threat remains real. Nonetheless, intercession can nullify those spiritual plans of the enemy both for Israel and our nation. In recent weeks, the Lord has given specific permission to call upon Heaven for the release and activation of the mighty warring angels, including the distinguished archangel Michael.

In the book of Daniel we see special significance on the role of Michael and the implementation of Heavenly plans here on the earth. Our vision and concentration is placed solely upon the Lord and His Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, God has chosen the agency of man to release the resources of Heaven and hosts of ministering spirits to engage the adversary. That provides a source of great comfort knowing there are more for us than for our enemies.

So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:16-17)

Great and notable end-time purposes are presently being birthed and the enemy is doing all that he can to abort the destiny of this generation. Thankfully, the Lord has made an abundant provision of grace to establish us as overcomers if we will co-operate with the Holy Spirit and yield our will to the will of the Father.

Introduction

One need only read the daily newspaper or watch the evening news broadcast to discover the turmoil, tension and political unrest in the Land of Israel. Never has there been greater need for prayer concerning the government of Israel, the land of the Bible and the natural seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has not only a responsibility but also a great privilege to stand in the gap and intercede for the land of Israel during these turbulent times.

The Scriptures promise the Lord's blessings for those who bless the natural seed of Abraham.

And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed. (Genesis 12:2-3)

The Lord's love for Israel is eternal, and to share in His heart is to participate in His love for the Jewish people and the land upon which the blood of Christ was spilled.

A deep and affectionate passion is being imparted to the Christian Church for the land of Israel and the natural seed of Abraham. Even as Esther sanctified and adorned herself in her royal attire, so is the Bride of Christ in order to come boldly before the Throne of Grace to obtain mercy for the land of Israel and find divine help in time of need.

For the past several years, the Lord has spoken prophetically concerning strategic intercession against the spiritual enemies of Israel and the Church. Perpetual, daily prayer is essential in the spiritual warfare on behalf of Israel and the enemies of the Church. However, the Lord has identified a particular season in the Spirit in which considerable warfare is amplified. This has been known as the SEASON OF THE BASILISK.

Over the past several years, considerable revelation has been released to disclose the workings of this evil opposition historically and currently in Israel and the Church. As a result, we have published an article entitled "Lance of the Basilisk" to outline the revelations and the prayer strategy against this great enemy. The time is quickly approaching for this season to begin. For the year 2007, this notable season begins July 3rd and extends until July 24, which is the 9th of Av on the Jewish calendar. It is during this timeframe that heightened prayer and caution should be exercised in our spiritual warfare.

This unique season has produced many of the most catastrophic events in Jewish history. This historic enemy of the Cross has an extraordinary hatred not only for Israel but all of God's covenant people. We trust the following outline will assist each reader in this spiritual encounter.

Plans And Strategy For Spiritual Warfare

History has proven that nothing unites a diverse group more than having a common enemy. Opposing political parties will even join together when our nation is confronted by a foreign enemy. This was certainly proven during World War II and again on Sept. 11, 2001. This fundamental truth is also applicable to the Church. Though there may exist different streams within the Church, as long as each stream leads to the same River, we are joined in purpose. The Holy Spirit is now revealing to us that we have a common enemy who has set himself against the purposes of God in the Earth.

The Scriptures declare that Israel is given to us as an example. The enemies of Israel in the Old Testament typify spiritual opposition faced by the Church. Graciously, the Lord continues to assist us in much the same way that he did Israel by sending prophets to not only reveal the plans of Heaven but also disclose the intent of the enemy. On one such occasion, the king of Aram was enraged because he was unable to make plans for war without Elisha the prophet divulging those plans to the king of Israel. (2 Kings 6:8-12)

The Holy Spirit, through divine revelation, has outlined a portion of the plans of the enemy in his effort to disrupt this nation causing considerable hardship and death. In addition, He has also revealed His divine strategy for defeating this foe in His prescribed manner. The enemy we speak of is called Basilisk.

Visions Of Basilisk

On July 23, 1996 and again on July 23, 1997, Bob was given visions from the Lord displaying this powerful demonic spirit He is desiring that we understand and oppose. It was clear in the visions that this spirit did not expect to be uncovered nor revealed. This evil spirit is accustomed to operating in secret without being detected or obstructed. This great enemy of the Cross has authority to release extensive destruction and misery in the Earth, especially if unopposed by the praying Church. This evil spirit is identified as Basilisk.

Basilisk is the exemplification of the devil himself whose primary purpose is death and destruction. The natural physical death resulting from this spirit is derived from plagues, sickness & disease, natural disasters and even terrorism. Its origin can be traced all the way back to ancient Israel. The Egyptians worshiped this spirit as "the lord and king of serpents to awe all others, nor to be destroyed by any". They displayed a crowned Basilisk on the heads of their gods as observed in the Bembine table and other Egyptian monuments. This demonstrates satan's attempt to elevate himself above God as an object of worship.

In the second vision given to Bob in 1997, this spirit was multiplied hundreds of times larger than the previous year. This demonstrates a progressive increase in authority presently given to this spirit. Apparently, during certain cyclical seasons, a tremendous increase in power is given to this spirit to cause death and destruction. Additionally, in 1997, this spirit was shown brooding over a nest of eggs desiring to periodically birth wrath and misery in the earth.

They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper. (Isaiah 59:5)

With each revelation, this prince of darkness expressed considerable surprise at being exposed as he is accustomed to operating undetected. So well hidden is this spirit that he did not even require the darkness of night to operate as most evil spirits. He can operate and even prevail in the brightness of the noonday. Though he does not require the darkness of night, like all evil spirits, he prefers to be hidden in darkness.

Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. (Psalm 91:6)

Basilisk in Scripture

The word Basilisk is derived from basiliskos meaning "kinglet" or "king" signifying a mythical reptile hatched by a serpent from a cock's egg. In Scripture, Basilisk is sometimes translated "cockatrice" or "adder". The Hebrew word for Basilisk occurs in Psalm 91:13, Isaiah 14:29, Isaiah 11:8, Isaiah 59:5, Proverbs 23:32 and Jeremiah 8:17.

Thou shalt walk upon the asp and in the Basilisk; and thou shalt trample under foot the lion and the dragon. (Psalm 91:13)

But in the end, it will bite like a snake, and will spread abroad poison like a Basilisk. (Proverbs 23:32)

And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall thrust his hand into the den of the Basilisk. (Isaiah 11:8)

Rejoice not thou, whole Philistia, that the rod of him that struck thee is broken in pieces; for out of the root of the serpent shall come forth a Basilisk, and his seed shall swallow the bird. (Isaiah 14:29)

The burden of the beasts of the South. In a land of trouble and distress, from whence come the lioness, and the lion, the viper and the flying Basilisk, they carry their riches upon the shoulders of beasts, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels to a people that shall not be able to profit them. (Isaiah 30:6)

They have broken the eggs of asps, and have woven the webs of spiders; he that shalt eat of their eggs shall die; and that which is brought out, shall be hatched into a Basilisk. (Isaiah 59:5)

For, behold, I will send serpents, basilisks, among you which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 8:17)

In the land of Palestine, this term is generally presumed to denote the cerastes or "horned viper", a very poisonous serpent, considered one of the most dangerous of all vipers. Clearly, the spiritual symbolism points to a prince of darkness diametrically opposed to the purposes of God in the earth. In Daniel 10 we discover the prince of Persia withstanding Gabriel prohibiting the release of divine instruction for 21 days. Basilisk, also a high-ranking prince, desires to likewise withstand the intentions of God and has been delegated the power of death. It was believed in mythology that the power of death existed in his breath or even in a glance of his eyes.

In each of the visions, the Holy Spirit gave Bob Psalm 91:13 as a defense against this evil opposition. Repentance and steadfast faith in the declared Word provide a protection against this identified enemy. In so doing, our sanctified hearts would then be prepared for the release of the divine authority necessary to defeat this enemy.

The Scripture declares that our foot shall be placed upon the "scorpion" and the "basilisk", not because of any strength of our own, but because of the great victory appropriated to us through Christ. The Church has been given authority to deal with this spirit, yet mankind has perished throughout history because of a lack of knowledge concerning this enemy and the appropriate application of our Savior's triumph over all opposition. In Luke 10:19, the Lord promises that He has given us authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means injure us.

The Ante-Nicene Fathers records the priceless writings of the early Church leaders. One of these great Church Patriarchs was Irenaeus, an anointed messenger to the Second Century Church who died a martyr's death. His words provide valuable insight on this subject:

"For this end did He put enmity between the serpent and the woman and her seed, they keeping it up mutually: He, the sole of whose foot should be bitten, having power also to tread upon the enemy's head; but the other biting, killing, and impeding the steps of man, until the seed did come appointed to tread down his head,-which was born of Mary, of whom the prophet speaks: "Thou shalt tread upon the asp and the basilisk; thou shalt trample down the lion and the dragon; " -indicating that sin, which was set up and spread out against man, and which rendered him subject to death, should be deprived of its power, along with death, which rules [over men]; and that the lion, that is, antichrist, rampant against mankind in the latter days, should be trampled down by Him; and that He should bind "the dragon, that old serpent" and subject him to the power of man, who had been conquered so that all his might should be trodden down."

The great theologian and writer Tertullian spoke of Basilisk in this regard:

"Who is He that shall bestow the power of treading on serpents and scorpions? Shall it be He who is the Lord of all living creatures or he who is not god over a single lizard? Happily the Creator has promised by Isaiah to give this power even to little children, of putting their hand in the cockatrice den and on the hole of the young asps without at all receiving hurt. And, indeed, we are aware (without doing violence to the literal sense of the passage, since even these noxious animals have actually been unable to do hurt where there has been faith) that under the figure of scorpions and serpents are portended evil spirits, whose very prince is described by the name of serpent, dragon, and every other most conspicuous beast in the power of the Creator. This power the Creator conferred first of all upon His Christ, even as the ninetieth Psalm says to Him: "Upon the asp and the basilisk shall Thou tread; the lion and the dragon shall Thou trample under foot." So also Isaiah: 'In that day the Lord God shall draw His sacred, great, and strong sword' (even His Christ) 'against that dragon, that great and tortuous serpent; and He shall slay him in that day.' But when the same prophet says, 'The way shall be called a clean and holy way; over it the unclean thing shall not pass, nor shall be there any unclean way; but the dispersed shall pass over it, and they shall not err therein; no lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon; it shall not be found there,' he points out the way of faith, by which we shall reach to God; and then to this way of faith he promises this utter crippling and subjugation of all noxious animals.

This evil spirit is also described in Deuteronomy 32:24, according to the rabbinical writings.

They shall be wasted with hunger, devoured by pestilence and bitter destruction; I will also send against them the teeth of beasts, with the poison of serpents of the dust. (Deuteronomy 32:24)

The early rabbis taught that this passage could accurately be rendered "and I will fight against them with flaming demons". The "flaming demons" would be a reference to the spirit that the Lord desires that we understand.

Basilisk In History

Throughout history, this spirit has sponsored plagues at various times causing great numbers of people to experience death. During those periods of time in history, especially the Dark Ages, man attempted various superstitions and fables in his attempt to combat this evil spirit and the death that it brought, rather than applying the blood of Christ and accepting the victory through His revealed Word. This spirit promotes religious superstition in place of faith. This resulted in Christians praying out of their superstitious imagination rather than the Holy Spirit anointed Promises of God. In his address to the Athenians, the apostle Paul described them as being "too superstitious", or "religious" as some translations rendered it. Paul presented the Truth of the gospel to replace misguided trust in fables and superstitions. The Lord desires to do the same today.

During the 1997 vision of Basilisk, Bob saw this prince of darkness approaching land between two bridges utilizing the winds bringing plagues, viruses and natural disasters causing considerable misery. It was revealed in the vision and confirmed through Jewish literature that this evil spirit prevails during a certain season of the year. This season is called Bein Ha'm'tarim by the Jewish writers.

This term means "between the straits" or "dire straits". This season is a three-week cycle beginning on the 17th of Tammuz extending until the 9th of Av in the Judaic calendar. It is a time when this spirit is prevalent even predominant when unchallenged by the authority of Christ given to the Church through His shed blood. This high level authority cannot be combated individually but must be engaged through corporate united intercessory prayer.

At the time that the subsequent vision was revealed to Bob in 1997, hurricane Danny entered Mobile bay in Alabama, in an area that perfectly fits the description "between the bridges". According to biblical definitions, Dan means "to judge" once again pointing to the coming justice of God. Uncharacteristically, Hurricane Danny brooded over Mobile Bay for twelve hours dumping a reported 40 inches of rain combined with high winds seemingly verifying in the natural the spiritual truths of this revelation.

How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary! She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies. Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits. (Lamentations 1:1-3)

The effects of Basilisk are not exclusively demonstrated during this season, rather it is during that specific span that the authority of Basilisk operates at its peak. The Bein Ha'm'tarim season for 2002 is June 27 until July 18th.

History records many of the catastrophic events that have taken place on these dates.

17TH of Tammuz

• Moses smashed the tablets of the Torah at Mt. Sinai.

• Daily sacrifices ceased.

• A Torah scroll was burned in the Temple by "Apostomos".

• An idol was erected in the Temple.

• The city wall was finally breached.

9TH AV

• 1200 B.C.- Israel told by God in the wilderness that generation would not enter the land of promise.

• 586 B.C - The Babylonian army destroyed the Holy Temple.

• 70 A.D. - Titus and the Roman army destroyed the Holy Temple

• 135 A.D. - "Bethar" the stronghold of Bar Kochba, fell ending the last trial for Jewish Independence.

• 136 A.D. - Rome began to erect the pagan city on site of the Temple dedication.

• 1096 A.D. - The first crusades began.

• 1290 A.D. - The Jews were expelled from England.

• 1306 A.D. - The Jews were expelled from France.

• 1492 A.D. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella signed expulsion. By July, on the 9th of AV, all Jews had to be out of Spain.

• 1648 A.D. - Chmelnicky massacred tens of thousands of Polish Jews.

• 1914 A.D. - Declarations for World World I began.

• 1942 A.D. - Plans for the annihilation of Jews were drafted escalating World War II.

Historically, the twenty-one days extending from the 17th of Tammuz until the 9th of AV represented a notable time of bitterness and destruction for the Jews. According to the Rabbis, the demon that prevails during this time is also called "ketev" meaning destruction/bitterness.

The Jewish Rabbis regarded "ketev" not solely as a plague, but a demon with authority to cause death and destruction through plagues. It was during this precise time that the Lord's prophecy concerning the destruction of Jerusalem was fulfilled. On the 17th of Tammuz 70 A.D. the Romans breached the walls of Jerusalem. For three weeks Roman troops ransacked and destroyed the city until the 9th of Av when they burned the Temple. In both the Babylonian and Roman captivity, the Temple was destroyed on this agonizing date. It is reported that during the Holocaust, the Nazis systematically chose the 9th of Av to carry out murderous and other demonically inspired actions against the Jewish community.

The prophet Zechariah spoke of these dates in Zechariah 8:19:

Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth {months} will become joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.' (Zechariah 8:19)

The fast of the fourth month was to be conducted on the 17th of Tammuz representing a day of mourning because of the capture of Jerusalem and the various other calamitous events that took place on this date. The fast of the fifth month was to take place on the 9th of AV because of the historical tragedies that occurred on this date. These periods of mourning and fasting were to be conducted until the promise of the coming restoration of Judah and the Messianic Kingdom.

The ancient leaders recognized that the righteous must be hidden in the secret place of the Most High during this time of trouble, which they believed was a dress rehearsal for the birth pangs of Messiah. In Isaiah 26:17-21, the prophet Isaiah speaks of a season when the righteous are directed to hide themselves while wrath and indignation take its course. Zephaniah 2:3 also prophetically forecasts a season when the Godly are directed to seek the Lord...seek righteousness...and seek humility and perhaps be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger.

According to these Rabbis, the heat of the noonday from 12:00 until 3:00 was a time of extreme activity for this evil spirit.

Even a review of recent years will reveal that this season of time has produced considerable destruction through storms, droughts, floods, extreme heat and famine. If this evil prince continues to go unchecked through intercessory prayer, then great destruction will come to people. We must be brought out of darkness into light so that we would not perish because of a lack of knowledge concerning this spirit and its operations.

On July 16, 1994, which is the 9th of Av on the Hebrew Calendar, the twenty-one pieces of Shoemaker-Levi comet began its bombardment on the planet Jupiter. Jupiter is commonly recognized as a symbol of idolatry and paganism. One of the most devastating events in the history of Israel occurred when the image of Jupiter was placed in the Temple of God. We continue to observe the feast of Hanukkah as a celebration of the victory of the Maccabees in removing this pagan god from the temple and re-instituting temple worship.

It is clearly prophetically significant that the Shoemaker-Levi comet began its assault on the planet Jupiter on this notable date. The Heavens declare the Glory of God. It is also significant that the comet was broken into twenty-one pieces also representing the twenty-one days extending from the 17th of Tammuz until the 9th of AV, the season in which this prevailing spirit operates with its greatest authority.

Even though Jupiter is a symbol of idolatry for the pagan world, it is also a term for righteousness in the Hebrew language. The Hebrew name for Jupiter is "Tzedeq" and comes from the word meaning "righteous" or "righteous one". It is from this term that the name Melchizedek is derived denoting "King of Righteousness".

Clearly, we can see that satan has perverted Jupiter into a symbol of idolatry. However, we can glean understanding from this term as a symbol of righteousness in the hope of our being cleansed by the Truth of God's Word thereby making us a suitable habitation for His Holy Spirit so we can share in His holiness.

The Plans of Basilisk

It is the enemy's desire to weaken our overall economy. Basilisk intends to bring such calamity to various geographic regions so as to destroy vital supplies, produce and agricultural goods, further disrupting our economy beyond the staggering cost natural disasters and terrorism already generate. The Lord has made it painfully clear, terrorism is not coming, it is here. (Note that this was written in 1999.)

Much of the terrorism and disasters will be directed at densely Jewish population areas. The ripple effect of these calamities will not be limited to those residing exclusively in these states; rather, the entire nation will be adversely affected if the enemy successfully carries out his plans. These supplies are essential for meeting the needs of our population and those we support abroad. With a diminished national security and a crippled economy, we would then be vulnerable to military conflict.

A weakened military force combined with severe economic hardships would make it substantially more difficult to defend and supply the needs of our nation. More importantly, our ability and willingness to stand by Israel would be compromised.

The enemy desperately desires to separate this nation from Israel. If successful, the spiritual and natural implications would be significant. The Bible plainly announces that the Lord will bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse her. One of the great attributes of this nation's leadership in times past has been the willingness to adamantly support Israel thereby releasing divine prosperity and blessing.

Additionally, Israel provides America with a strong military ally in that region of the world. Without the close alliance of Israel, our military and economic opportunities in the Middle East and Europe would be severely compromised. Our enemy is attempting to prematurely set in motion events before their time. He is attempting to bring about military conflict, economic shaking, and political upheaval prematurely; especially hostile confrontation between Israel and her enemies. God's people must stand in the gap as a voice toward Heaven withstanding these evil aspirations.

Defeating Basilisk

Our Lord in His grace has given us this insight into the plans of the enemy for the purpose of equipping us with the blueprint for success in defeating this adversary. The more we understand his plans and purposes the more capable we will be to pray with pinpoint precision.

The Lord also has His plans and purposes; plans for welfare and not for calamity toward those obediently following His divinely ordained strategy. Nothing could be more rewarding for a Christian than to find favor with God by willingly offering ourselves as instruments of righteousness, hating what He hates and loving that which He loves. This can be accomplished, at least in part, by committing ourselves faithfully to this battle both individually and corporately.

Foremost in our preparation for this battle is sincere repentance for our sins and the sins of our "fathers". Repentance will always bring forth times of refreshing from the Presence of the Lord. Genuine sorrow that is not merely the articulation of our mouths but the incentives of our hearts will also pave the way for the impartation of righteousness and divine authority necessary for defeating our enemies. The Scriptures declare that our Savior came into this world to destroy the works of the devil. He has chosen His Church as the instrument through which this victory is to be manifested.

Daniel 9 records the great prophet repenting for his sins and those of his people, leadership and forefathers for not having obeyed the Word of the Lord to obediently walk in His teachings. Like Israel of old, we have allowed the spirit of the world to invade our lives promoting compromise and spiritual error. We are now being given the divine opportunity to make this right individually and corporately. City and regional repentance is especially crucial in the Southeastern US , the target zone for Basilisk. Sincere repentance will touch the heart of the Father releasing the spiritual "ammunition" to defeat Basilisk.

This victory will be achieved through corporate intercessory prayer. When the early believers were together praying IN ONE ACCORD, great and mighty things were accomplished for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus; that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6)

Few things please the Father more than to see His people in unity:

How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard. (Psalm 133:1-2)

Though often geographically separated, we are united in purpose with one mind and passion...to defeat the enemies of our God. As one expositor put it "as the instruments of a great concert under the direction of a concert master, so the Holy Spirit blends together the lives of members of the ekklesia of Christ."

Psalm 91 has been given to us as a Scripture of protection and instrument of war against this evil spirit. The Church has been given the authority over all of the power of the enemy...authority and victory in Christ must be rightly appropriated through the body. Like the sons of Issachar, we must be equipped with the knowledge of the times and seasons of the Spirit, dedicated to the Lord's plans and strategy. As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. The Lord is calling for repentance and corporate intercession against the specific plans of the enemy here outlined.

27 " But do not fear, O My servant Jacob,
      And do not be dismayed, O Israel!
      For behold, I will save you from afar,
      And your offspring from the land of their captivity;
      Jacob shall return, have rest and be at ease;
      No one shall make him afraid.
       28 Do not fear, O Jacob My servant," says the LORD,

      " For I am with you;
      For I will make a complete end of all the nations
      To which I have driven you,
      But I will not make a complete end of you.
      I will rightly correct you,
      For I will not leave you wholly unpunished." (Jeremiah 46: 27 - 28 NKJV)

The Middle East is like a ticking time bomb ready to go off. Many feel the bomb can be defused by promoting oil rich radical Mohammedans and heaping disdain upon on the only truly government in the Middle East that is a Western style Democracy - Israel.

At the possibly of offending Mohammedans, Jewish and Christian Scripture proclaim the Land of Israel is the Lord's who has bestowed stewardship to the Hebrew tribes that make up the sons of Israel (Jacob). Notably the son of Promise (Isaac) was to be offered up as sacrifice to God as a test of the faithfulness of Abraham. Of course Abraham passed the test extending the Messiah would come from the Blood Line of Isaac (the son of Promise). That place of sacrifice was the Temple Mount of today.

When David became noted as a man of God's own Heart, David intended to build a Holy Temple for the Presence of God to dwell instead of a mobile Holy Tabernacle. That job was bestowed by God to Solomon, the son of David.

Diverging from Jewish thought to Christian thought, many Evangelical and Charismatic Christians believe one of the signs of the Second coming of the Messiah Jesus is when the Jews reestablished their presence on the Land Promised to them by Covenant via Abraham and Moses. Part of this belief is the rebuilding of another Temple on the Temple Mount.

Then certain eschatological signs will take place which Christian theologians disagree on except for one thing: Ultimately Jesus will return to set up a Kingdom on earth in preparation of the union of the Heavenly Jerusalem with the Earthly Jerusalem - the New Earth and the New Heaven.

With this set up of my view (I'd be surprised if all takers agreed with it) I'd like to introduce a prophetic vision concerning Israel as the Spirit leads through Catherine Brown posted by Email on the Elijah List.

THE DAYS OF GRACE ARE BEING RELEASED OVER ISRAEL IN THE MIDST OF THEIR TRAUMA

"I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob. I will put my trust in Him." Isaiah 8:17

The prophet Habbakuk instructs us with regard to revelation that it "awaits an appointed time" (Habbakuk 2:3). On July 31, 2006, I was in prayer enquiring of Messiah regarding Israel, and at that time I received a number of prophetic images and Holy Spirit utterances. I have prayed about these, sought counsel from a trusted apostolic leader in Israel, and now almost one year later, and I believe it is the "appointed time" to release what I was shown.

The imagery is complex. I ask you, therefore, to read and pray for Israel as the Spirit of wisdom bears witness with your spirit. Apostle Paul exhorts us, "if a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith" (Romans 12:6). May we be a people of faith, of purity of heart, and sincere love towards our brothers and sisters in Israel.

DAYS OF GRACE

In the initial part of the prophetic encounter, I was shown three successive images as follows:

First: the word "Jireh"
The Lord spoke to my spirit and said, "Jireh is My word to Israel, for I am her Provider."
Second: the word "Torah"
Third: the number 5 (which means grace)
The Holy Spirit said, "Israel is entering 'The Days of Grace.'"

The imagery points to a period of divine provision of grace for Israel. As I have pondered the multi-faceted interpretation of grace for Israel, today I received a report which seems most poignant and profoundly relevant in regard to Israel's role in compassion as outlined in the Torah.

Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann proposed Tuesday that Israel accept refugees from Darfur, stating that Israel must adhere to the principles of "Biblical compassion."

"Israel must hold talks with Europe over how many refugees they are willing to accept and how many we are willing to take," Friedmann said.

Speaking at a convention of the Israel Bar Association in Eilat, Friedmann said that "this is a question that is currently before the state of Israel, and there is a direct line with what occurred 3,000 years ago and more, at the time of the Exodus from Egypt."

According to Friedmann, "There are instructions in the Torah which teach about compassion, and in dimensions which we do not see in the law of other peoples. The emphasis is on why there is a need for compassion, the source of this Biblical compassion." "The question that Israel must ask itself is, to what extent is it within that pathway of compassion?" (Ref 1).

God is providing grace to Israel to be a light to the nations in respect of His compassion. He has chosen Israel to be an instrument of His love towards the alien.

"And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt." Deuteronomy 10:19

FIVE MAJOR MILITARY STRIKES AGAINST ISRAEL

The Spirit continued to bring revelation to me and said, "There will be five major military strikes against Israel, but she will survive as a nation under God." I received a strong impression that this survival as a nation was conditional to Israel's repentance before the Lord. On the fifth strike, God said that He will release His glory and "at the midnight hour, the God of the armies of Israel will arise."

Pesach (Passover) and Shavuot (Feast of Weeks) seem linked to the release of the Lord's glory in this vision. Pray for a spirit of repentance to be released in Israel and for multitudes to be saved.

YESHUA THE LIGHT OF ISRAEL AND ANGELS WITH LANTERNS

The Lord then revealed through a visionary experience a multitude of angels walking with hand-held lanterns throughout Israel. They approached many individuals, and as they held the light up, the people received an immediate revelation of Yeshua as Messiah. I looked up and saw a clock on a high tower which was approaching the midnight hour. Suddenly, a burst of glory filled the air. Simultaneous to this, the glory released a wave of massive repentance and the salvations and healings increased exponentially.

During my first trip to Israel in April this year, I stood in line waiting to pray at the Western Wall. I looked up at the clock tower to my right and noted it was just before the 12th hour. I was immediately reminded of the Lord's word that He would arise as the God of the armies of Israel. I also recalled the vision of angels revealing the Light of Yeshua to the multitudes in Israel. The grace for exponential increase of salvations, signs, healing, and wonders is here and now for Israel.

We need only turn to Acts 2:17-21 to see the paradox of blessing and bloodshed being poured out at the same time, "blood, fire, and billows of smoke...And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

THE FIRST HAND

I saw the hand of God come down on the land of Israel, and each finger had a word attached to it:

The thumb said "UN"
the first finger said "Syria"
the middle said "Lebanon"
the fourth finger said "Russia"
And the fifth finger "China"

The Lord impressed on my heart that these five would bring much opposition to Israel, and that France would also rise up as a loud voice against Israel. (This is not to say these are the only places that will oppose Israel, however, these are the ones I was shown). Pray that nations will become allies and not the enemy of Israel.

The recently elected French President Nicolas Sarkozy is considered by many to be a strong friend to Israel and sympathetic toward the Jewish fight against terror and anti-Semitism (Ref 2). Pray that he will be used as an instrument of blessing to Israel.

I am deeply saddened to report that Britain has recently entered into an onslaught of boycotts and sanctions against Israel. On April 16th, the British National Union of Journalists voted in favor of a boycott of Israeli goods (Ref 3). On April 23rd, more than 130 UK doctors called for a boycott of the Israeli Medical Association (Ref 4). Last week the University and College Union (UCU) voted to consider a debate to boycott all Israeli academic institutions (Ref 5). The Higher Education Minister, Mr Bill Rammell said he was "very disappointed" with the vote. Mr Tony Blair has publicly spoken out against the boycott (Ref 6). On May 31st, the largest British labor union threatened to declare a boycott of Israeli products (Ref 7). Pray for mercy in the heart of Britain towards Israel. May God forgive us.

ISRAEL THE HOME FRONT

The Lord spoke further and said, "Israel is the home front."

On May 31, 2007, the Jerusalem Post carried the following article under the heading:

"Israel to ready public for all out war"

With Iran racing toward nuclear power and IDF preparations for the possibility of a conflict with Syria and Hizbullah in high gear, the Home Front Command plans to launch a publicity campaign to prepare the public for war.

Within a few weeks it intends to inform the public about what people need to do in the event of attack.

The campaign was not connected to a specific event or threat but was meant to brace the public for war in general, senior IDF officers said.

"Our job is to prepare for an all-out war," Col. Hilik Sofer, head of the Home Front Command Population Division, told The Jerusalem Post Wednesday. "We prepare for a wide range of possibilities since it doesn't make a difference where the threat comes from."

Several weeks ago, the Home Front Command distributed pamphlets in Netivot and Ashkelon explaining how to behave during a Kassam attack. Both cities are within 15 kilometers of the Gaza Strip.

The IDF has deployed early warning systems outside Netivot and Ashkelon. They have not been activated, pending government approval.

Next week, Sofer will meet with heads of government offices and local councils to discuss ways to improve service to the public at a time of emergency.

"We know that the Palestinians have Kassams that can reach 12-kilometer distances and even farther," Sofer said. "And even though Kassams have yet to fall there, we'd best be prepared."

In March, the Home Front Command, the Israel Police, Magen David Adom, the Fire and Rescue Services and other emergency services held a two-day exercise throughout the country that dealt with extreme scenarios, including mega-terrorist attacks and non-conventional missile attacks.

The drill was the country's largest ever and implemented lessons from the Second Lebanon War last summer (Ref 8).

"Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident" (Psalm 27:3).

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

THE SECOND HAND

I saw another hand with five further messages:

Under the thumb (UN): I saw anti-Semitism (click here for relevant article)
on the second finger (Syria): I saw the rise of a new neo-Nazi movement
on the third finger (Lebanon): I saw the words "Global Pandemic of Islam"
on the fourth (Russia): I saw "new age, occult/satanic opposition"
On the fifth (China): were written the words, "other eastern religions."

The countless anti-Israel resolutions and related debates consume an astonishing proportion of the UN community's precious resources. This year, during the 61th Session of the General Assembly (2006-2007), the time spent by ambassadors on enacting the 22nd anti-Israel resolution of the year was time not spent on passing a single resolution on Sudan's genocide in Darfur. Diplomats at foreign ministries or UN missions have a limited amount of time to devote to any particular UN session. Because every proposed UN resolution is subjected to intensive review by various levels and branches of government, a direct result of the anti-Israel texts is a crippling of the UN's ability to tackle the world's ills (REF 9).

Pray for an unmasking and annulling of every evil alliance, enemy plot and strategy on the earth against Israel. Pray for the victory of Christ to be released in the earth for Israel at this time.

THE THIRD HAND

The Lord said that during the days of grace, when Israel will experience five major military strikes, he will release five major prophetic revelations. I saw another hand, and each finger had a message--a promise of deliverance from the hand of God for Israel:

On the thumb "strategy and counter strategy"

the 2nd finger "military might"

the third "military intelligence"

the fourth "enemy exposure"

and the fifth "pro-Israel powerful allies"

Israel Defense Forces continue to carry out aerial operations and targeted attacks against Gaza terrorist munitions enclaves, terrorist chiefs and PA-run television and radio stations which encourage Islamist violence against Israel. The hope is the source of Qassam rocket and other terrorist attacks against Israel's Negev cities will be dealt with at the core, with the least amount of civilian casualties, and not require a full-scale IDF ground operation into the area. On another front, Israeli military officials are greatly concerned by the possibility of war with Syria and its Lebanese arm, Hizbullah, this summer and have resisted the idea of diverting IDF forces for an invasion of the Gaza Strip. A senior army officer said a major ground operation against the Gaza-based terrorist infrastructure would severely erode Israel's capacity to handle a reoccurrence of last summer's violence in the north. Pray for God to give divinely inspired strategy and strategic intelligence (as He did in 2 Kings 6) and to release might to the armies of Israel (1 Samuel 17:26). Pray for exposure of the enemy and for God's pro-Israel allies to arise in the earth. Pray especially for a protection of all innocents.

May God show mercy to Israel at this time. May Israel turn in the spirit of Elijah and be reconciled to the Father. May we, the body of Christ, pray unceasingly and love unconditionally until our Lord returns for His Bride, one New Man in Yeshua.

This is a rare acknowledged phenomenon among Christians. I myself have not had the time to do the research to discover if it is plausible or fringe thinking. What is the "is" I am talking about? UFOlology and Christian prophetic theology is what I am talking about.

The Apocryphal Ethiopian Book of Enoch (not Apocryphal to Coptic Ethiopian Christians) and Biblical Scripture in this UFOlology have been lined up to explain UFO's, alien abductions and fallen angels under the theological heading of Eschatology.

On second thought it sounds like fringe thinking. I try to keep an open mind for ministers I respect in the Word of Faith have written books on this phenomenon. On the other hand that individual's book is not available on his website, he may have mused the possibility of fringe thinking as well.

With that in mind Christian Newswire has a story on UFO's that is fascinating (even it is fringe thinking).

Using Greek and Hebrew dictionaries as a reference to the key words found in Scripture, Mr. Stout has undergone many months of writing and prayer to help get the word out. "I am only being used as an instrument..." says Richard, "...This information must get out to the public as it is crucial people understand these so-called UFOs are in fact real and will be used as part of God's judgments on man and we are that close to many signs and wonders." It looks as if we aren't alone after all, only these "aliens" are fallen angels masquerading as extraterrestrials from another planet!

Kim Clement gives forth a prophetic word that America will develop five new sources of energy. The implication is that there will be a lessening of dependence on foreign oil as an energy source.

The Elijah List provides the media vehicle to get out this prophesy. Steve Shultz (or an Elijah List editor) followed the Kim Clement prophesy with an article found in the San Jose Mercury News (which I will not post). The Mercury News article talks about the seriousness of utilizing tidal currents as an energy source of electricity in the San Francisco Bay area. The report says it is not "Science Fiction" for the energy medium is already being used in New York.

Those of you that follow the prophetic let me know if another prophet is prophesying the same thing or something related to how the Holy Spirit is using Kim Clement. In the mouth of two or three witnesses let everything be established (principle of verification - Deut. 19:15 and 2 Cor. 13:1).
